Recovery Month 2025!
One Day at a Time, Thirty-Six Years Strong!
Since its inception in September of 1989, Recovery Month has been a beacon of hope, celebrating the triumphs of the recovery community and underscoring the critical role of evidence-based treatment and recovery practices.
Now, 36 years later, this event continues to unite communities across the country and New Hampshire in a shared commitment to health, wellness, and recovery.
Recovery isn’t confined to one place or one type of person; it’s a movement spreading like wildfire, touching lives from the dense, tranquil woods of the North Country to the rugged, breathtaking coastline. New Hampshire’s bustling cities such as Manchester, Nashua, Portsmouth, Dover, and Rochester are vibrant hubs of recovery, each playing a crucial role in this ongoing journey.
This year, as we celebrate Recovery Month, New Hampshire is bursting with events and activities designed to bring communities together, offer support, and celebrate the victories—big and small—of those in recovery. No matter where you live in the Granite State, there’s an event nearby where you can join hands with others to promote and celebrate recovery.
But woven into this year’s highlights is also a reminder of the world we’re living in, one where political divides and cultural battles sometimes feel louder than the voices calling for unity. Recovery offers another way forward. It shows us that healing and connection are possible, even in times when it seems like everything is designed to push people apart. Recovery isn’t red or blue, rural or urban: it’s human, and it thrives when we choose compassion over conflict, and hope over despair.
With the help of BDAS, we’ve compiled a full list of events happening throughout the state, available as a handy PDF download. No matter where you are in New Hampshire, there’s a Recovery Month event waiting for you to join in the celebration.
Wishing you good luck as you continue your own journey, wherever it may lead.
