Alcohol Awareness Month, observed every April, is dedicated to educating the public about the effects of alcohol and the profound impact it has on individuals suffering from alcoholism, as well as their families. This month serves as an opportunity to raise awareness about the dangers of excessive drinking and to promote prevention and recovery efforts within communities. Through education and outreach, Alcohol Awareness Month aims to foster understanding, reduce stigma, and support those affected by alcohol use disorders.

Americorps

The Harbor Care Recovery Corps was an #AmeriCorps program in which members served their communities by providing recovery coaching and peer recovery support at local recovery centers throughout #NewHampshire. Our members have since graduated and moved on to accomplish great things. Check out the first installment of our “Recovery Corps: Where Are They Now” series, where we catch up with former members to discuss how the program impacted their lives and what they are doing now! Stay tuned for more inspiring stories in this series.
